It was a joyful day for the Indian Province because the two sisters Sr.Frenshy Maria and Sr. Anjana Kuttiparachel were saying their Perpetual YES to the Lord. And eight of our sisters Sr. Beena Kakkanattu, Sr. Daisy Muttathottil, Sr. Ruby Paikkattu, Sr. Shaiji Valiyaparambil, Sr. Shiby Chollambel, Sr. Sindhu Pulikunnel, Sr.Sherly Edattukaran and Sr. Suy Panackachalil were celebrating their silver jubilee of their commitment to the Lord. And As the prior preparation for the jubilee celebration we the jubilarians attended ten days of retreat in Marthoma Sadan by Carmilite fathers in Malayattur where the foot print of St. Thomas was left for his brothers and sisters.
These ten Days of prayer provided us an ever-growing conviction of Christ’s boundless love for each one of us individually and moved us towards a more complete confidence and surrender. God’s compassionate words of love were great source for us to renew ourselves spiritually and psychologically. We could fathom our nothingness but God’s immense blessings for us in these 25 years of our commitment.
The sisters who were for the final commitment have done six days of annual retreat in provincial house along with other sisters. As the preparation for the perpetual Commitment they attended one year Theology course at Portiuncula in the FCC Genaralate Aluva and three months of intensive preparation. During these three months they were under the guidance of Provicnial Superior Sr. Biji Mulackal and Sr. Suni was their incharge. During this time they got various classes about our patron saints, Father Founder, St. Bertilla etc. It really enriched their hearts and the love towards our Congregation.
The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rev. Mar Antony Kariyil Archiepiscopal Vicar of Ernakulam Angamaly arch diocese. And the homily was given by Rev.Fr. Eby Eruvelikunnel CST. There was felicitation conducted by Rev. sisters in Archana.
We are so grateful to our God who walked with us and kept us as an apple of His eyes so that none of us lost from His love. We also thank our superiors who all helped to grow in the love the Sacred Hearts. Extend our thanks to our Provincial Superior Sr. Biji Mulackal and all those who worked hard to make this day Beautiful.
